Since 1974, SymCom has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of electronic control and protection systems. Their portfolio includes current and voltage monitors, motor and pump controls, and custom electronic controls, often recognized by the MotorSaver®, PumpSaver®, and SSAC® brand names. SymCom’s products provide protection, communication, and control for various types and sizes of motors and pumps. Additionally, SymCom manufactures load sensors, alternating relays, intrinsically-safe relays, software, and custom control boards.
The American motor and pump controls manufacturer SymCom has acquired ABB’s US-based Solid State Advanced Controls (SSAC) business, which produces low-voltage electronic controls. ABB had owned SSAC since 2001, following its acquisition of the Entrelec group. Since 1985, SSAC has offered electronic control systems for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. SymCom believes that the combined operations will effectively address most electrical motor and control challenges.
