PFC Device produces and sells discrete power semiconductors and uses its “PFC” brand to enter the markets of China, Taiwan and other Asian regions.
PFC Device’s R&D team is based in Taiwan and focuses on improving product performance and developing new products and technologies. PFC Device’s discrete power semiconductors use its own proprietary component structure and manufacturing method developed by the in-house R&D team. As at the Latest Practicable Date, PFC Device holds 46 patents registered in the United States, Taiwan and China for its component structure and/or manufacturing methods for discrete power semiconductors.
PFC Device manufactures most of its products at its manufacturing facility in Shunde, Guangdong, China. In the discrete power semiconductor manufacturing process, PFC Device conducts the packaging and testing processes in the manufacturing process at the Shunde manufacturing facility and externally engages the wafer processing plants to outsource the wafer processing processes. PFC Device also employs packaging companies to outsource the encapsulation process of discrete power semiconductors of certain package types. As at the Latest Practicable Date, PFC Device had a total of 94 employees in its production plant in Shunde. PFC Device operates sales offices in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and its sales and logistics office is located in Shenzhen, China. The Taiwan Sales Office oversees PFC Device’s sales and marketing operations. Most of PFC Device’s discrete power semiconductors are sold to distributors. They are then resold to the direct users of PFC Device’s products, which are mainly power supply manufacturers. The power supply will be used later in various electronic devices.
