In 2022, YAGEO finalized an agreement to acquire 100% ownership of Heraeus Nexensos GmbH, a subsidiary of Heraeus Holding GmbH. Heraeus Nexensos is a leading supplier of platinum thin-film temperature sensors, headquartered in Hanau, Germany, with manufacturing facilities in Germany and Malaysia, employing approximately 480 full-time staff members.

The temperature sensors find applications across various industries, including e-mobility, energy and building technology, medical and laboratory settings, production plants, and process monitoring. They are also utilized in end products such as self-cleaning stoves and pellet grills. Nexensos provides comprehensive support to its customers throughout the development process, offering fast prototyping and flexible large-scale production capabilities in Europe and Asia.

With a history spanning over 100 years, Heraeus Nexensos is globally renowned for its premium platinum thin-film temperature sensors, distinguished by superior temperature range, high precision measurement, and stability. Offering a diverse range of sensor elements in different formats, including leaded sensors, SMD, and PCB, the company caters to various customer design requirements.

As of 2021, Heraeus Nexensos generates nearly 60% of its revenue from North America and Europe, with 100% of its revenue attributed to industrial and automotive clientele. In 2021, the company reported an annual revenue of EUR 78.46 million (approximately NT$2.45 billion).
