In 1962, electrical engineer Rudolf Neidecker founded Multi-Contact in Allschwil, Switzerland, driven by his passion for contact technology and electrical plug-in contacts. By the late 1970s, Multi-Contact expanded internationally. In 2002, the Stäubli Group acquired the successful company, and today, many of its products continue to carry the Multi-Contact or MC brand name. Multi-Contact has since become a market leader in connection technology, with over 20 years of experience in solar systems. Connection technology for the solar industry is just one of its key product segments. Since 2017, the company has operated under the name Stäubli Electrical Connectors AG.
Known for its rugged cable and wiring solutions, Multi-Contact is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable products that perform in even the harshest conditions, where other cables and wires might fail.
The solar division offers a range of products including:
- Connectors for renewable energies under the “Solarline” brand
- MC3 and MC4 connector systems
