Incorporated in 1969, Electronic Concepts, Inc. (ECI) is today a leader in the design and manufacture of film capacitors. Electronic Concepts became the first manufacturer in the United States capable of producing solvent cast ultra-thin films and for the first time, the electronic industry had a film capacitor supplier with complete control over the critical raw material. This eliminated the dependence on the chemical industry and led to the development of new films specifically dedicated to new capacitor requirements. In order to meet a growing global need, Electronic Concepts opened a manufacturing facility in Ireland in 1982.
