In December, 1996, Augat was acquired by Thomas & Betts Corporation in a stock swap transaction.
Subsequently, in July, 2000, Thomas & Betts was acquired by Tyco Electronics and became part of the AMP family of interconnection products.
In March, 2011, Tyco Electronics Ltd. changed its name to TE Connectivity Ltd.
