March 2018: Microchip, a leading provider of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analog and Flash-IP solutions, and Microsemi announced that the two companies have signed a definitive agreement pursuant to which Microchip will acquire Microsemi. On May, 29 2018, it was announced that Microchip had completed its acquisition of Microsemi. Microsemi is a wholly owned subsidiary of Microchip Technology.
